Chronic Back Pain
Your bodies natural response to harm is pain. When you are struck with illness or injury your body fires off special pain receptors at the nerve endings called nociceptors. When this receptor is fired, or turned on, a signal is sent through the spinal cord to the brain which then translates into a painful feeling.
Chronic Back Pain in its most simplest form is when pain lasts for extended periods of time. At Central Rehab we consider pain chronic when it lasts for a month or longer but the general medical definition of chronic pain is pain that lasts for 6 months or more and is classified in two ways: (a) Nociceptive and (b) Neuropathic …and are based on the route cause of the pain and what the pain feels like.
At Kare Chiropractic Clinics of Grand Prairie and Fort Worth our Chiropractors focus on both types due to our use of both Doctors of Chiropractic and willingness to refer to Medical Doctors when necessary.
Our Chiropractors and the Medical Doctors we refer to are experts at managing Neuropathic Pain through neurotherpay stimulation which is also known as spinal stimulation. Our Pain Management Staff are experts at diagnosing, treating and rehabilitating patients that are experiencing chronic pain regardless of the route cause.
