Causes of SI Pain

Your SI joints have a cartilage layer covering the bone. Like all cartilage in our body it can become worn or damaged over time. When this happens in the SI joints it oftem produces arthritis or degenerative arthritis in the lower back. Degenerative arthritis occurs commonly in the SI joints, just like other weight-bearing joints of the body.

Other causes of SI joint pain are pregnancy, abnormal walking patterns, gout, psoriasis, and rheumatoid arthritis. These are some of the many disorders which can cause inflammation of the SI joints.

If you feel you are suffering SI pain you should call your nearest Kare Clinic Chiropractic & Rehab clinic today. Our chiropractors can give you a complete diagnostic exam and discuss the treatment options available.
